From the hearts of Bruno and Tanja:
We remember the day when we made several calls to find help, but we got a refusal, no matter how hard we tried.
We remember, hours felt like days but then… Judge Mathis and Mark [Dow] told us that they will take on our case. We remember the moment we left the office and we felt a spark of hope in our heart[s].
After a time of worries, starting in 2022 with the Hermit’s Peak and Calf Canyon fire and then with the Las Tusas fire in 2023 that burned our home to the ground, we were offered help to walk the road to reach one day the goal to make us whole again.
It was a long and hard road and there were many moments when we felt we can’t hold it anymore. There were moments when we felt somebody put a curse on us. There were moments when it felt like it never ends and things are working against us. …when we struggled and sometimes fell.
Mark told us an attorney is only as good as his clients, but this is also true [in] the opposite way. Clients only are as good as their attorneys, and we would never reach what we all reached together.
This goes also for all our family, friends and the people who joined and crossed our path during this time. Each one was a piece of a puzzle that had to be put together to come to a successful ending.
In all these moments and the moments in between, you all were by our side fighting for our right, our freedom and our dignity!
You all are part of this long and emotional journey we could finally bring to an end. We would like to say THANK YOU FROM OUR DEEPEST HEART”
