Christopher Bauman

Christopher P. Bauman, J.D.

With over twenty-five years of legal experience, Mr. Bauman's practice focuses on construction, business and insurance litigation. Mr. Bauman represents both individuals and businesses in a broad spectrum of commercial matters.

Mr. Bauman is admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts for New Mexico, the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Tribal Courts of Acoma, Isleta, San Juan and Santa Clara Pueblos.

After being educated in South America and Europe, Mr. Bauman attended The College of Wooster, and Case Western Reserve University School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1987. During that time he was Editor-in-Chief of the Case Western Reserve Journal of International Law, and the Canada-US Law Journal.

Mr. Bauman, who is fluent in Spanish, has held office with many professional organizations, including the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce, the Governor's Advisory Committee to the New Mexico Border Authority, the US-Mexico Law Institute, and the Faculty of the Global Business Certificate Program, University of New Mexico Robert O. Anderson School of Management. In 1991, Mr. Bauman was appointed by Governor King as the first Director of the New Mexico Border Authority.
